Hot Cocktails for Cold Weather

In case you haven’t ventured outside, it’s January and it’s cold, certainly in Ohio but also elsewhere. So, some of our latest cocktail recipes have been and will be focused on hot cocktails to warm you up. All contain Cleveland Whiskey and are meant to help you through the bitter cold and darkness (figuratively and literally) of January.  They also taste great. National Hot Toddy Day is January 11th, which is why we’ve lined up our Gingerbread Hot Toddy recipe for you to try.

Some interesting drink trivia facts:  “Toddy” comes from, etymologically speaking, Hindi tari, meaning palm sap.   I’ve never had palm sap and I think I can probably continue to do without.  We’ve also linked some of our previously published hot drinks to help you stay happy and warm this Winter. So, because everything is better with whiskey, our whiskey, and those of us inhabiting the state of Ohio – well, modestly we are experts on Ohio-bernation.  We know how to hibernate properly, and we do it well.  Approximately 70 days until Spring. We can do this.  To keep us all moving forward, National Margarita Day is February 22nd.  That’s surely a day to which we can all look forward!
