Bourbon BBQ Sliders
The protein of choice for the sliders? Chipped Chopped Ham! This recipe is easy and doesn’t take much prep at all. Life can sometimes be very busy, especially in the summer. This is a perfect meal to make for a quick dinner out on the patio. Or better yet, a picnic at your favorite spot with your favorite people. You’ll need a little something else with your Bourbon BBQ Sliders and what better than some Cleveland Whiskey Curtido. Pickled veggies are so refreshing and are a great pair to these sliders. Your picnic is almost complete, you just need the beverage of choice.
The Bourbon Watermelon Blast will keep you refreshed and hydrated while you bask in the sun eating your BBQ Sliders. Watermelon tastes 10x better when you are outside in the hot sun. Boom. You’re ready to get out there and get your picnic on. Remember, picnics are always better when a little bit of bourbon is involved.
Tools:
- 2 qt saucepan
- Wooden Spoon
Sauce Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup minced onions
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup Ketchup
- 1 cup of water
- 3 oz Black Reserve Bourbon
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
Slider Ingredients:
- 1 pound chipped chopped ham
- Brioche slider buns
Instructions:
- Sautee onions and butter until tender.
- Add remaining sauce ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Add Ham, stir until completely coated in sauce.
- Serve on Brioche slider buns.
