Pomegranate Mule Cocktail

Pomegranate Mule Cocktail is our seasonal, super refreshing, cocktail.  Filled with our favorite shrub’s juice which has vitamin C to help you stay healthy as you imbibe.  It is January after all and we need Vitamin C and the sometimes misunderstood pomegranate is still in season.

Pomegranate juice, our fabulous Underground Rye Whiskey, a little lime juice and Reeds® ginger beer. Four simple ingredients that ensure a fantastic cocktail.  We need you healthy to imbibe and the Pomegranate Mule Cocktail can help.
While, as you know, our Underground Rye Whiskey comes from Cleveland, pomegranates originate in the region extending from Iran to northern India, where they have been cultivated since ancient times. The name pomegranate derives from Latin: pōmum “apple” and grānātum “seeded”.
And finally, our favorite fact: The pomegranate is a fruit-bearing deciduous shrub.  (Not to be confused with a concentrated syrup that combines fruit, sugar, and vinegar and is used in cocktailing also called a Shrub) It’s a shrub, and we doubt you knew that before us telling you.

Our caveat to you, our loyal Cleveland Whiskey fans: these little arils, or seeds, stain.  If you’re prone to sloppy sipping, wear a bib.  We don’t want you to have an unfortunate accident and think ill of our favorite shrub. Cheers, safely, with or without a bib but do have napkins handy.
