Magic Strawberry Margarita
“It’s 5 o’clock somewhere!” This legendary statement is never truer than on National Margarita Day. Every February 22nd people come together to pay homage to the official drink of having fun. The earliest mention of the famed cocktail was in 1938 by the father of the drink, Carlos “Danny” Herrera, at his restaurant in Baja California. Marjorie King, who was a dancer on the Broadway show “Ziegfeld follies,” was the recipient of the first-ever margarita because she was allergic to spirits but not tequila. And just like that, the popular cocktail was born.
You have your classic Margarita but you can also find many different variations with a lot of different flavor combinations. It’s fun experimenting with different flavors and trying to come up with something that is truly delicious! We did that here with the Magic Strawberry Margarita, think chocolate-covered strawberry margarita! That’s why experimenting is the best, combining silver tequila and our Magic Rabbit® whiskey wouldn’t be the first thing you think of but wow is it tasty! The strong and pure taste of the silver tequila is balanced out by the fruity, sweet, and juicy notes from the strawberries and agave syrup. The finish gives you subtle notes of chocolate that will leave you with a harmonious sip every time. To top it off, freeze-dried strawberries dusted with cocoa powder!
