Magic Destructed Bourbon Alexander

Bourbon Alexander you say? Let us explain. Monday, January 31st is National Brandy Alexander Day! The popular drink was said to be created at Rector’s, a New York City restaurant, by a bartender named Troy Alexander. He was creating a drink for a dinner celebrating Phoebe Snow who was a fictional character in an advertising campaign for the Delaware, Lackawanna, and Western railroad in the early 1900s. The campaign wanted to show that it powered its trains with anthracite, a clean-burning variety of coal. It showed her traveling on the train in a snow-white dress, so he wanted to create a white-colored drink. The delicious drink gained even more popularity in the 1970s when star singer, John Lennon, was introduced to it and later on would claim it as one of his favorite drinks. We can’t blame him, it’s fantastic. So good that we decided to make our own version of the Brandy Alexander, with a few special twists.

Instead of Brandy, we used our Wheat Penny Bourbon to make it a Bourbon Alexander. It gives it a little more sweetness than our other bourbons. And the new star of the show, Magic Rabbit Whiskey, replaced the Crème de Cocoa because why have just milk chocolate when you can have milk chocolate and peanut butter. Yum!

Now for the fun part! Frothing the Amaretto, Heavy Cream, Unsweetened Almond Milk, and Foam Magic just feels good and looks even better! Be sure to mix until the mixture is very creamy, and then carefully pour on top of the bourbon mixture when serving. Just follow the recipe and your Magic Destructed Bourbon Alexander will turn out great! Enjoy, cheers!
