We are going to be sharing some awesome Manhattan recipes this month, each week will feature a new recipe that features flavors and ingredients from a specific culture. First up is this vibrant Little Italy Manhattan!

An ode to one of Cleveland’s most prominent neighborhoods and the rich culture that comes with it. This Manhattan is bursting with flavor thanks to our Christmas Bourbon and the Italian Lemon Liqueur is known as Limoncello! Limoncello is one of the most popular liqueurs in Italy. Mainly produced in Southern Italy, it is made from the zest of Femminello St. Teresa lemons, also known as Sorrento or Sfusato lemons. It is sweet with an intensely concentrated citrus flavor and is like no other liqueur. The Italian cultural influence continues with a little Sweet Vermouth and some Amarena Tochi Cherries. The Amarena cherry is grown in Bologna and Modena, two cities in Italy. They have a sweet taste with a sour aftertaste. Since this is such a special cocktail, we decided to pair that cherry garnish with some caramelized sugar!

It’s time for you to channel your inner-Italian-self and get crafting. This is a perfect cocktail to enjoy after an exquisite home-cooked Italian dinner. Your plans for this weekend have been made, you’re welcome.
