I don’t know about you, but whenever I read a recipe card that calls for apple cider, Christmas Bourbon, maple syrup and nutmeg, among other ingredients, I know I’m most likely going to be contemplating making a pitcher for efficiency’s sake. I’m all for efficiency. Before the beginning of Winter next weekend, allow yourself this night of Fall Breezes while you slowly acquiesce and acclimatize to the Christmas season. The nutmeg helps. Trust us. We know. You can start being less naughty tomorrow. Or whenever the pitcher is empty.
You will need:
1 ½ oz of Christmas Bourbon®
1 oz Apple Cider
¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
½ oz Maple Syrup
2 Dashes Aromatic Bitters (or Angostura)
2 Dashes Black Walnut Bitters (or ¼ oz Nocino liqueur)
Freshly Grated Nutmeg
Directions:
- Combine whiskey, cider, lemon juice, maple syrup, aromatic & black walnut bitters into shaker with ice, and shake for 15 seconds.
- Strain into cocktail coupe and serve with freshly grated nutmeg on top
