Erie's Secrets

Cleveland looks out onto Lake Erie. It is the fourth-largest lake of the five Great Lakes and the eleventh-largest globally. Lake Erie is popular with sports fishermen and is known to have an extensive walleye fishery. You can also find small-mouth bass and in the winter, don’t be surprised to see someone out on the lake ice fishing. It is known to have its own lake monster, Bessie. According to legend, she’s the mutation of missing Lorain cows, in 1894. Some people attribute sightings over the decades to lake sturgeon, a fish that can grow to 20 feet and 300 pounds but others say no way. Reports of huge serpents or snakelike creatures have dominated the press over the last three decades. It’s a mystery that may never be solved here in Cleveland. But, we like to have fun with it! For example, we now have a minor-league hock team that is named “The Lake Erie Monsters!”

So, we are dedicating this cocktail to Bessie, Lake Erie, and all her secrets. This cocktail is perfect to enjoy out by a lake on a warm sunny day. Refreshing, light, and full of good tastes! Highlighted by our Bourbon Whiskey Finished with Black Cherry Wood.
