Cranberry Whiskey Sour
Cranberry and whiskey are one of the tastiest combinations in the cocktail world. Not only do their flavors complement each other but their colors work well together to create a visually-stunning cocktail. Cranberries are very popular during the winter months because of their distinctive deep red color that goes well on wreaths, Christmas ornaments, and other festive decorations. We may make our whiskey the untraditional way but when it comes to a Whiskey Sour, we like the traditional recipe. That means using an egg white to create a frothy texture. Today, egg white is optional and it’s very common to find bars serving Whiskey Sours without egg white. This Cranberry Whiskey Sour is the perfect cocktail to craft at home during the winter months. You’re sure to be in the ‘holiday spirit’ after enjoying one of these.
We got Cranberries dipped in sugar for the garnish, Cranberry Juice to give the cocktail a little zing, and a Cranberry Seltzer to add to that frothy/bubbly texture. This cocktail would be tasty any time of year but it definitely hits a little differently during the winter months. It will warm your soul, body, and mind as you prepare for another cold yet festive holiday season. Wow your Ugly Sweater Party guests this year with one of these or plan a date night with your significant other and craft together, it’s a blast!
Be sure to follow the instructions as they are. Dry shaking is very important when it comes to making a good whiskey sour. Happy Holidays!
