
Bourbon Madness Sour
We are “madly” in love with this Bourbon Sour recipe. The key to a bourbon sour? Getting the balance just right! Luckily, we are pros when it comes to crafting a delicious bourbon sour. The Bourbon Madness Sour features our Black Cherry Wood Bourbon paired with Mulled Wine, lemon juice, mineral water, raw honey, and yes, Kosher salt. Any honey will do, so use your favorite! Another key component is to use real lemon juice. It’s just so much better, trust us. When life gives us lemons, we make bourbon sours!
You can omit the mulled wine if you’d like. Just double the amount of honey to balance it like a traditional sour. If you don’t make the mulled wine, use a maraschino cherry for garnish.
Bourbon Madness Sour
Ingredients
- 2 oz Black Cherry Wood Bourbon
- 1/2 oz Mulled Wine
- 1 oz Lemon Juice
- 1/2 tbsp Raw Honey
- 1/2 oz Mineral Water
- Kosher Salt
- Orange Twist
- Berries for Garnish
Instructions
- Fill a coupe glass with ice and top off with water. Set aside to chill.
- Combine the bourbon, lemon juice, raw honey, mineral water, and Kosher salt to a shaker tin without ice. Shake until the honey is completely dissolved.
- Fill shaker tin with ice and shake to serving temperature.
- Discard water from coupe glass and rub the rim with the orange twist.
- Strain cocktail into the glass.
- Top with mulled wine.
- Garnish with berries.
