Blueberry-Grape Whiskey Smash
Here we have a Blueberry-Grape Whiskey Smash that is perfect for your next brunch party! The word “brunch” was first used in the publication, “Hunter’s Weekly” by Guy Beringer in 1895. The inspiration came from his own hangover believe it or not. He believed that people who had one too many on Saturday nights should never encourage themselves to have meaty dishes when they wake up. Rather, you should forgo Sunday’s breakfast and indulge in a hybrid meal during midday. He even proposed the idea of sharing the meal and previous evening’s hangover tales with your friends. The sharing of brunch and stories makes people satisfied with not only themselves but also their friends! That’s why the idea of brunch is to be sociable and cheerful. Now, let’s talk about this stellar brunch cocktail.
This bubbly, light and very sippable concoction is full of flavor! Start by muddling your blueberries and grapes to release all those fresh flavors so that they bind with the alcohol better. Our Bourbon Whiskey Finished with Black Cherry Wood pairs perfectly with the slightly sweet, slightly fruity White Grape Juice. The juice also offers those coveted electrolytes to keep you hydrated! To give it those bubbly brunch feels we topped it off with some Pear Seltzer for a zesty taste. Hopefully, this little history lesson and the look of this delicious cocktail have inspired you to invite your friends over for a midday get-together! Cheers!
