Black Cherry Blizzard

Now we’re in September.  So we thought a cocktail with the foreshadowing word “blizzard” would help us all adjust to the seasonal changes we are about to face courtesy of dear Mother Nature. This cocktail refreshingly reminds us we love Her, and that we still have a few months, fingers crossed, to mentally prepare for hibernation.  So let the lemons laugh, and the cran-peach quench our residual summer thirst.  September is a happy month.  School is in session, the kids are getting smarter, and we’re not thinking about Mother Nature’s blizzards, because we’re shaking and garnishing our own Black Cherry Blizzards.  Nope. We’re definitely not thinking about shovels or snow.  Nope. Not going there.  Bottoms up. 

You will need:

2 oz  Underground  Bourbon Whiskey Finished with Black Cherry Wood
2 oz Cran-Peach juice
1/2 oz lemon juice
1 oz Simple Syrup
Peach Slice
Cherry

Directions:

  1. Shake the liquid ingredients vigorously with ice.
  2. Strain into an ice-filled old fashioned glass.
  3. Garnish with the peach and cherry.
