Banana Whiskey Highball
A Banana Whiskey Highball. Take a few minutes to think about it. Now, doesn’t that actually sound quite a-peel-ing? Ohhhh, we crack ourselves up! But seriously, this Banana Whiskey Highball is so delightful. When you think of a whiskey drink your mind probably visualizes something dark and heavy, not this one though. Look at the color of the cocktail, it’s basically clear! That’s how you know this baby is refreshing and tasty.
We used our Black Cherry Wood Finished Bourbon and paired it with 99 Bananas Liqueur to create a tropical, yet smooth, refreshing, easy-to-drink cocktail. Top it off with some lemon-lime soda to give it a pleasant tingling, cooling sensation with every sip. The bubbles that pop also carry the aroma of the beverage to engage your sense of smell as well as taste. Garnish with a lime wedge and mint sprig and you’re ready to enjoy.
This part is optional but once you read this, you’re probably going to be hooked. We kept the banana theme going and decided to serve the cocktail next to some fried bananas! Sweet, gooey, and buttery goodness. We dusted them with a little brown cinnamon, highly recommend it. Here’s the recipe for the fried bananas we used. Enjoy!
Banana Whiskey Highball
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz Black Cherry Wood Finished Bourbon
- 1/2 oz Lime Juice
- 4 oz Lemon Lime Soda
- 1/2 oz Banana Liqueur
- 1/2 oz Orgeat Syrup
- Lime Wedge & Mint Sprig for garnish
Instructions
- In a shaker tin with ice combine Black Cherry Wood Finished Bourbon, Banana Liqueur, Lime Juice, and Orgeat Syrup. Shake until chilled.
- Pour in a glass with ice. Top with Lemon-Lime soda.
- Garnish with smacked mint and a Lime Wedge
- Serve with fried bananas. Optional of course but so good.
