Magic Cake Shooters

Happy Mardi Gras – It’s time to let the good times roll! Nothing gets the party started like some delicious shooters. We followed the Mardi Gras theme and came up with some Magic Cake Shooters! A boozy riff on the popular “king cake” tradition at Mardi Gras celebrations. King Cake is usually iced in gold, green, and purple (Mardi Gras colors). Gold represents power, purple represents justice, and green signifies faith, the shape of the cake symbolizes the unity of faiths. It is a blend of coffee cake and cinnamon roll usually stuffed with fruit fillings and decadent cream cheeses. Hidden in all that glory is a miniature plastic baby, which symbolizes luck and prosperity to whoever finds it. If you get the slice with the baby in it, you’re now in charge of bringing a king cake to the next event during Mardi Gras season. Here’s an idea, mix it up and bring some Magic Cake Shooters! We couldn’t hide a tiny baby in these but you will be feeling very prosperous after a few of these, you can believe that!

Just two ingredients are needed – Our Magic Rabbit® Whiskey and Pinnacle’s Birthday Cake Vodka which is the icing on top of any mixed drink! For a garnish, we used a birthday cake-themed rice crispy treat and a dollop of whipped cream. It’s time to celebrate!
